AI art style presets explained

Published · Updated · By the AI Image Studio team

Style presets are one-click shortcuts that add proven style wording to your prompt. They save you from remembering art terms, and they give consistent results. AI Image Studio has ten presets, including No style, which leaves your prompt exactly as you wrote it.

How presets change your prompt

When you pick a preset, AI Image Studio adds a short style description after your words before sending the prompt to the AI. For example, with Watercolor selected, a fox in a snowy forest becomes a fox in a snowy forest followed by watercolour wording such as soft washes of colour and paper texture. Your own description always comes first, so the subject stays the focus.

Choosing the right style

For realistic pictures

Use Photo for everyday realism and Cinematic when you want drama. Add lighting words from the prompt guide for even more control.

For illustrations

Watercolor and Pencil sketch feel hand-made and gentle. Anime and Pixel art are bold and graphic. Oil painting gives a classic gallery look.

For design work

Flat logo gives clean starting points for logos and icons. 3D render works well for product ideas and mascots. Treat both as drafts to refine in a design tool.

Mixing presets with your own style words

You can add extra style words on top of a preset. With Oil painting, try adding in the style of impressionism, thick paint or muted earth tones. If your words fight the preset, for example asking for "photorealistic" with Anime selected, switch to No style and write the full style yourself.
