Getting started: make your first AI images

Published · Updated · By the AI Image Studio team

AI Image Studio makes four AI images from a short written description. You don't need an account, and the whole process takes about a minute the first time.

Make your first image

  1. Open the image generator. It works in any modern browser on a phone, tablet or computer.
  2. Type a description in the prompt box. For example: a lighthouse on a rocky coast at sunset, waves crashing. You can use up to 1,000 characters.
  3. Choose a style, or leave it on No style. Styles add extra wording to your prompt to get a particular look, like Photo or Watercolor.
  4. Wait for the security check. A small Cloudflare box confirms you're a person, not a bot. It usually passes on its own in a second or two.
  5. Press Generate. Four images appear below the prompt box, usually within a few seconds.
  6. Download the ones you like. Tap or hover over an image to see its Download button. Click an image to view it larger.
Your images are not saved anywhere after you leave the page. Download anything you want to keep.

Why are the four images different?

Each image starts from a different random "seed", which is the starting noise the model shapes into a picture. Using four seeds gives you four takes on the same idea, so you can pick the best one. Running the same prompt again gives four new images, never exact repeats.

Troubleshooting

The Generate button stays grey

The button turns on when two things are ready: your prompt has some text, and the security check has passed. If the check says it couldn't load, refresh the page. Browser extensions that block scripts can also stop it from loading.

"You're going a little fast"

You've hit the limit of three requests per minute. Wait about a minute and try again. The limit keeps the free service available for everyone.

"That prompt isn't allowed"

Your prompt matched a word on our safety list. Rephrase it, and check the content policy for what isn't allowed.

"The image engine is busy"

The AI service was briefly overloaded or unavailable. Wait a few seconds and press Generate again.
